7. I Want It Now

Music by Brent Lewis, Lyrics by Perry Crawford

A Giant male orangutan
Decided he would be a man.
He found a village man had made
And soon a little plan he laid.

He got a strong reaction there,
The men and woman all would stare,
But gave him everything he asked
And did the things that they were tasked.

I want what I want and I want it now.
I want it for me and I don't care how. X2

He stuffed himself into some clothes
And sometimes after dark he rose
To make a fire warm and bright
To heat his grass hut through the night.

But merriment came to his ear
And drunken men gave him some beer.
He took a sniff and he could tell
The stuff was bad just by the smell.

I want what I want and I want it now.
I want it for me and I don't care how. X2

The beer's influence happened fast
Now drunk the ape just stood aghast,
As fire spread and in a flash
His hut was nothing more than ash.

He spent the night up in a tree
And in the morning he could see.
He's happy now in his own place
And stays far from the human race.

I want what I want and I want it now. I want to leave and I don't care how.
They want what they want; they want it now. They want it for them and they don't care how.
